Cecil Soil Magazine
creative direction /
production management

This was a local publication with an historical focus on "everyday people". I did all the design work to produce 42 issues of Cecil Soil Magazine, from the startup in 2004 to its closure in December 2012. In 2009, I assumed the additional role of production manager, handling all editorial and scheduling through 2012.

“I have to say, Neeley is one of the best project managers I've ever met, and simply a genius in her creative talent. Her attention to detail and focus are phenomenal. It has been truly a pleasure to work with Neeley, and I recommend her services both as a graphic artist and as a project manager with publishing savvy.”

— Apryl Parcher, Former Features Editor, Cecil Soil Magazine

Green Delaware Magazine - creative direction /
editorial layout design

I was lucky enough to be on board for the birth of this 2012 startup magazine with an environmentally conscious focus.

“Neeley is one of the most creative and productive people I have ever had the pleasure to work with. She has a unique talent to visualize what others are talking about ... and made our Green Delaware magazine so very professional, with easy flow and ahead of time for print production. I would hire and recommend Neeley again and again!”

- editorial layout design

This project was an enormously ambitious undertaking by a dedicated group of hard-working folks, with results that the whole team can be proud of. Produced under the umbrella of Back Porch Publications, LLC (publishers of Cecil Soil Magazine), this 200-page volume contained dozens of profiles and photographs. In addition to designing all the editorial pages, I also participated in the initial presentation to the historical committee, as well as subsequent status and planning meetings.

Oakstone Wellness Publishing -
editorial design & illustration

My primary task with this company was the creation of five newsletters, including pagination of the Spanish translations. I also had the opportunity to develop a new poster series and work on several other products, such as brochures and calendars. In addition to selecting or commissioning appropriate artwork, I created custom illustrations as needed.

"Neeley is extremely professional, very creative and super organized which helped us with the many projects we had going on at the same time. I would highly recommend her for any organization seeking a very resourceful and creative designer."

— Charles Dismuke, Former SVP and Publisher, Oakstone Publishing dba Personal Best
